Mr. Novalis has over 15 years of experience as a traffic accident investigator. He is currently employed as a sergeant in the East Hanover, New Jersey police department.  He attended the Morris County Police Academy in 2007 and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2017.  He has conducted and supervised numerous investigations of serious and fatal motor vehicle accidents during his career.  Mr. Novalis has also been a member of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit since its inception in 2019.

Mr. Novalis has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University where he excelled in baseball, setting numerous records.  He has received over 500 hours of formal training in the field of motor vehicle accident reconstruction from Northwestern University and the Institute of Police Technology Management.  He is a member of both the New Jersey Association of Accident Reconstructionists and also the New York State Accident Reconstruction Society.  Mr. Novalis joined Klingen & Associates in 2019 and is fully accredited as an Accident Reconstructionist by the Accreditation Commission of Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR).

Mr. Novalis is extremely active in his hometown of East Hanover and is  the Founder and President of the East Hanover PBA Civic Association, which raises funds for various charities and military personnel. In his spare time, Mr. Novalis enjoys playing golf and pickleball, and coaching his two kids in basketball, baseball, and softball.
